WE THINK: Hix's Fish Dog, a tasty snack named after man's 2 best friends, is a novel creation from super restaurateur Mark Hix. It is very edible. The juicy, crispy fish finger (this day made from coley) is freshly prepared every morning and fried to order by a very beautiful seafood chef, formerly of Hix and Scott's. The mushy peas and the tartar sauce, also made fresh daily, are delicious and the whole thing makes for such a satisfying snack that this is bound to become a classic. Hix's Fish Dog is currently being sold from a stall in the Red Market on Rivington Street, a few steps from Tramshed, Hix's new meat restaurant, however starting next week, the Fish Dog together with the beautiful chef and her assistant, will be travelling around London in a vintage Citröen bus so keep your eyes peeled.
